  • Ability to assign margins exclusively for each sub-panel and to preview the sub-panel numbering during creation of placement
  • Ability to select if the exit panel snaps to the panel edge or to the inside of the border
Moving and Placing Objects in Panels
  • NEW! Use the To Border snap mode allowing short lines to now snap to a border with a margin separation along with the ability to specify a fixed distance from a parallel border edge
  • NEW! Ability to use Point to Point snap mode that allows for a key point to be set on fixed and moving objects for precise placement beyond the standard snap positions
  • NEW! Use the Center to Panel snap mode to center one or more objects in a panel between a vertical short line and a border
Custom Object Creation
  • NEW! Ability to design custom multi-headed diagrammatic directional arrow types (for Overhead and Overhead Per Lane)
  • UPDATED! Custom arrow creator now includes displays the preview showing arrow dimension parameters that are currently being edited
  • Create custom panel styles or custom templates to meet state specific standards for sign design
  • Create custom arrows using a set of user-defined dimensions and save them into a library
  • Create a custom library of completed signs that can be used in planning and detailed drawings
  • Work with multiple custom libraries (i.e. symbols, exit panels, arrows, etc) now supported with GuidSIGN placement tools
  • Over 60 editable design parameters for complete custom flexibility
  • Create customized symbols, exit panels, and shields
Traffic Sign Design Features
  • NEW! Addition of eight new multi-headed diagrammatic arrow types for Roundabouts, Thru-Turn (2 shafts), Split (2 shafts), and, Left-Thru-Right (3 shafts)
  • NEW! Includes new working panel libraries for HOV (High Occupancy Vehicle), Toll, Exit Number and Exit Only sign design
  • Use built-in destination, place, or street name lookup feature to match against custom or standard lists of geographic features
  • 4 standard arrow types supported (Straight, 45° Turn, 90° Turn, Custom Turn)
  • Ability to update panel data without changing object placement or panel dimensions
  • Drag and drop objects from graphical libraries conforming to panel style rules for spacing
  • Automatic updating of panel size and dimensions based on placed objects and panel style rules
  • Create signs conforming to MUTCD standards for panel sizes, colors, borders (including widths, thickness and insets), margins, fonts, letter sizing/spacing, line spacing, and corner radius
  • Moving and snapping capabilities with option to snap objects (i.e. place names, symbols, shields, etc.) to margins, panels, and other objects based on standard spacing requirements. Snap placement can also be switched off to place customized objects within the panel
  • Place horizontal and vertical dividers and short lines within the guide panel
  • Signs can be stored in proprietary exchange file format (GSX) allowing signs created with any version of GuidSIGN 4 and newer to be read and edited using GuidSIGN in any platform (AutoCAD, MicroStation, or GuidSIGN for Windows)
